10 POINTS I have a 1969 Chevy Camaro project car. But I would like to know wether its is SS, RS, or, z/28. ?
I want to find out cause I am having difficulty choosing the type of head lights for that model. But i dont know what model it is yet.

It is impossible to say by looking at those pictures. The only thing I would recommend is to give chevrolet the VIN number to the vehicle and they can decode it for you and tell you what trim package it came with.
Can’t tell from your photo, but believe that the SS was a separate model while the RS and Z-28 were option packages, the Z giving you the 302 engine, a 12 bolt rear, and a few other heavy duty pieces. The RS was more cosmetic and higher level trim. In 1968 they could be combined. Not sure of 1969.
that looks like a ss but it could be one of the other ones it is kinda hard to tell from the picture
the body parts for the 1st gen camaro are all the same the only way you can tell what kind of camaro it is,will be by the vin number,go to firstgencamaro.com and put in your vin number and all info on that car will come up which assembly plant paint color,which shift it was assembled on,ect.
YUP THATS A 69…. NOW YOU GET TO RUN THE VIN NUMBERS . SINCE THE RS , SS AND THE OTHER MODELS COULD ALL BE ORDERED WITH DIFERENT ENGINES , TRANSMISSIONS AND TRIM, YOU’LL HAVE TO RUN THE VIN TO BE EXACT ON WHAT THIS ONE CAME WITH . I HAD A 67 WITH 4 SPEED ,327 ANGLE PLUG HEADS AND NO CONSOLE OR DISC BRAKES WITH A FOLD DOWN REAR SEAT !! ALL THE DIFFERENT OPTIONS MAKES IT VERY HARD CAR TO PUT YOUR FINGER ON EXACTLY– UNLESS YOU KNEW THE ORIGINAL OWNER OR RUN THE VIN NUMBERS.. IT COULD HAVE HAD A 6 BANGER WITH GOOD OPTIONS AT ONE TIME TOO.. RUN THE VIN… THEN ITS A SURE THING ! THE FIRST THREE YEARS OF THE CAMARO WERE NOT THE SAME.. 67 HAD WING WINDOWS DIFFERENT LIGHTS FRONT AND REAR, 68 HAD DIFFERENT DOORS GRILLE, LIGHTS FRONT AND REAR AND REVERSE LIGHTS IN THE LOWER VALANCE, AND THE 69 WAS THE FIRST MAJOR CHANGE IN THE CAMARO BODY–(DID YOU FIND THE BUILD SHEET UNDER THE BACK SEAT? SOME TIMES THEY WERE LEFT TUCKED INTO THE SRINGS OF THE LOWER REAR SEATS..). WITH ALL DIFFERENT DOORS,FENDERS , REAR QUARTERS AND SIDE TREATMENT(VENT-LINES) DIFFERENT DASH AND GUAGES STOCK DISC BRAKES AND ON AND ON AND ON . THE 1969 CAMARO WAS A ONE YEAR ONLY CAR PERIOD. AND THE POTENTIAL OPTIONS WERE ENDLESS !! FROM A 230 INCH 6 CYLINDER TO THE 396 AND 427 IF ORDERED RIGHT . THERE WAS EVEN A FEW 4 CYLINDERS MADE !!! THIS WILL BE A MYSTERY TILL YOU RUN THOSE NUMBERS…
