i’m geting my old 68 charger back soon and i can tell you that it won’t be being jumped EVER lol

» dude486 said: { Mar 18, 2010 - 11:03:31 }

SOME for the of us I meant….

I’ve wanted one of these cars for awhile now.
And just to see that some guy would buy one that could buy and fix up for myself would restore it and then send it over a ramp to its doom for the sake of TV show blows my mind!!! I like dukes of hazzard as much as the next guy, But I beg you, SAVE ONE FOR THE REST OF US!!!

» tamabeats said: { Mar 18, 2010 - 12:03:36 }

At least he landed this jump. All the other Dukefests jumps I seen were just lame nose dives and endo crashes. Still a waste of 69 Chargers.

» MrSuperfriends said: { Mar 18, 2010 - 01:03:02 }

You all got a point. I saw 2 1969 Dodge Cornets 440 fully restored beautifully and they were shipped out that night to get destroyed on Robocop the tv series. I saw them when they got brought back to my friends shop. They were un-fixable. The first one destroyed was a blunder and it got destroyed for nothing. I wanted to slap some faces. I know they are not Chargers but still makes me wonder if they are “junk Chargers” or not. Long live the Charger R/T. :-)

Yeah, letting a Charger eat dirt like that, that is a waste. Someone mentioned it was a fixer upper, well, get this : They had it running, fixed up like the General, so it wouldn’t had taken much more to get turn signals on it, headlights, taillights, etc.., just wiring & lightbulbs to be a road ready car. I’m just calling it like i see it. That could’ve been a great looking replica, had it not gotten jumped. ….water under the bridge now… unless it’s fixed up again.

» zemlay said: { Mar 18, 2010 - 02:03:34 }

LOL. sorry, but this Dodge you see being jumped won’t be fixed, ive worked on many cars that have either come out of major crahes or just horsing around with them. To fix this car.. you’d need to buy a new one in replacement of it. Haha

Capitalize the “A” when you write America!

» booobies11111 said: { Mar 18, 2010 - 03:03:32 }

only in america..

» roadragecustoms said: { Mar 18, 2010 - 04:03:36 }

They were supposed to auction off what was left after the jump. I didn’t stay to see if it actually got sold or how much it brought.

» HowtoBuildThings said: { Mar 18, 2010 - 05:03:16 }

i agree with zach979 and plus with dukesfest they just fix the cars after they are destroyed

» roadragecustoms said: { Mar 18, 2010 - 06:03:20 }

I kind of feel the same way, but remember, these cars were made into icons by jumping them on TV. The only difference is on TV they didn’t show much of the aftermath.

» nutbar88 said: { Mar 18, 2010 - 06:03:21 }

it kills me to see them wreck a good old american icon like that almost drives me to tears

» ReusableEarplugs said: { Mar 18, 2010 - 07:03:34 }

oh gott!!!! you can also simply destroy them in a junk press….. that would be similar interesting to this video…. and others are standing there to get destroyed….. really awful to watch…. and all the dumb am***** applaud… ahhhhhh whats going on with folks who like to destroy the greatest car ever made… :( :( :(

» F6HemiCharger said: { Mar 18, 2010 - 07:03:08 }

Oh, well soorrryyy!!! I prefer Chargers that are totaled after being jumped over soda machines.

Don’t start stuff, please!

» roadragecustoms said: { Mar 18, 2010 - 08:03:38 }

Be careful who you say “perfectly good” to. Zach979 corrected me when I said it. He prefers “rusted out bondo Chargers”.

» F6HemiCharger said: { Mar 18, 2010 - 08:03:27 }

This is the part of Dukesfest I hate them for. Wasting perfectly good Dodge Chargers. :(

It’s enough to make me cry.

» littlewiggy68 said: { Mar 18, 2010 - 08:03:31 }

dont forget that general lee delivers some cases of moonshine in the trunk to make it match the engine. …..

» gustavokrause said: { Mar 18, 2010 - 09:03:35 }
