Packing a top dog, numbers matching 428 Cobra Jet engine and a tough Toploader 4-speed transmission, this stunning 1969 Mustang Mach 1 is the perfect big block pony car for anyone who enjoys taking their vintage muscle to the streets and doesn’t want to pay blue chip prices for a numbers matching car! Arriving at its Maryland dealership 12 days behind schedule, this super rare 1969 Mustang Mach 1 was purchased by James Arthur Price who would use it to prowl the Baltimore streets for years to come. Recently, its rock solid body was the beneficiary of a frame-off rotisserie restoration which created a virtually flawless canvas for a correct and glossy coat of Black Jade Green urethane. Once the cars clearcoat shell was buffed to a brilliant shine, trademark flat black was re-applied to its awesome shaker hood and bright gold Mach 1 tape stripes were perfectly aligned on its fuselage and rear valence. Under the blacked-out hood a 428 cubic inch Cobra Jet Ram Air engine, which wears a correct November (K) 25th (25) of 1968 (8) casting date, has been completely rebuilt to its correct factory specifications. At the top of the engine, a correct Holley 4-barrel carburetor sits under a correct ram air induction system which draws fresh air from the cars silver detailed shaker scoop. Below that carburetor, silver finned valve covers sit at the sides of a correct Ford coil which sends spark through a correct points distributor to Autolite Professional Series premium plug wires. And …

Here we have a real life General Lee movie car. This 1969 Dodge Charger General Lee replica has been built from real movie car parts from the 2005 movie “Dukes of Hazzard.” The previous owner worked on the set of the 2005 “Dukes of Hazzard” movie as a picture car mechanic. He was involved in locating, building and maintaining of the pre-production and production cars in this movie. The previous seller has pictures with himself and some of the cast and crew members from the movie. Car has original sheet metal except for the fiberglass hood. This car has the original motor and trans from the TV series car and original seats and parts from the 2005 movie car. The 440CI and 727 trans were taken out of the TV Hero car to put in the HEMI engine for the movie. Both engine and trans have been professionally built and dyno tested. The interior is done to General Lee specs including replica steering wheel, B&M Shifter, tach, CB radio, CD player, CB antenna, harness, etc. This car has a partial roll cage. Holley 4BBL carb, edelbrock intake, flex fan, Optima battery, tubular headers, cherry bomb turbo mufflers, new dual exhaust and of course – the General Lee horn. This General Lee replica is a one of a kind that has been built with parts from cars from both the TV series and the 2005 movie. Have affidavit verifying the genuine movie parts. Just a little General Lee history: The television series The Dukes of Hazzard (1979-1985) featured a 1969 Dodge Charger that was named The …

A CANONSBURG, PENNSYLVANIA CAR DEALER NAMED DON YENKO IS THE CHEVY EQUIVELENT OF FORD’S CARROLL SHELBY. YENKO HAD A REPUTATION FOR BUILDING, DRIVING, AND SELLING MUSCLE CHEVY CORVAIRS. EVENTUALLY HE INSTALLED 427 CID CORVETTE V-8′S IN 1967 AND ’68 CAMAROS. HIS PRODUCTION CARS COST 00 TO PURCHASE. YENKO SPORTS CARS, INC. HAD DEALER OUTLETS IN 19 STATES. BECAUSE ENGINES HAD VERY LIMITED WARRANTIES, CHEVROLET MADE A DEAL WITH YENKO TO BUILD CAMAROS WITH 427 POWERPLANTS AND THAT CAME WITH A FIVE YEAR OR 50000 MILE WARRANTY. ALTHOUGH YENKO ORDERED 201 CAMAROS, OTHER DEALERS COULD ORDER THESE AS WELL SO AT LEAST 500 ARE KNOWN TO HAVE BEEN BUILT – BUT ONLY 201 YENKOS. YENKO DID PRODUCE OTHER CHEVY PRODUCTS BESIDES CAMAROS. ENGINES WERE THE SAME HAVING SOLID LIFTER L72 427′S WITH THE IRON BLOCK AND HEADS. THESE PRODUCED 459 BHP THAT WAS CONTROLLED BY A HURST 4 SPEED MANUAL OR DUAL- GATE AUTOMATIC, HEAVY DUTY Z28 SUSPENSION, AND A HEAVY DUTY POSI. ALL HOODS HAQD COWL INDUCTION SCOOPS. THE WHEELBASE MEASURED 108 INCHES, AND WEIGHED IN AT 3500 LBS. 0 – 60 MPH IS TIMED AT 5.4 SECONDS! THE QUARTER MILE TOOK 13 AND A HALF SECONDS. NOW HERE’S A TRUE STORY THAT IS AS RARE AS THIS CAR. THE OWNER OF THIS CAR WANTED TO BUY AND RESTORE A YENKO CAMARO. HE FOUND THIS CAMARO MINUS THE ENGINE. SO HE WENT ON A HUNT FOR AN ORIGINAL TYPE YENKO ENGINE AND EVENTUALLY HEARD ABOUT A YENKO ENGINE IN SOUTH CAROLINA. WHEN HE ARRIVED TO CHECK THE ENGINE OUT TO BUY, HE DISCOVERED THAT THE SERIAL NUMBER …

Only 69 COPO ZL-1 Camaros were built, and this is number 63. A late-production example, it is equipped with many options not typical of early-production cars. The performance from its ZL-1 427 V-8 is simply unbelievable! It will be offered November 13th, 2010 at the Robson Collection in Gainesville, Georgia. Visit rmauctions.com for more information.
